Tips for cleaning gaming monitor
Here are a few instructions you can consider to clean your monitor. But before you begin, you must read the manufacturer’s instructions for any precautions you need to take.
Turn off your monitor.
The first thing you need to do is turn off the monitor. It will give you a better view of the dust and dirt on the monitor screen. Moreover, if you clean your computer screen with the monitor turned on, you can damage your screen.
Clean the dust
Now gently wipe the dust with a soft cloth, preferably a microfiber cloth. The soft microfiber cloth will not scratch the screen and leave behind any lint or fluff. However, if you use any other cloth material or stuff like t-shirts or paper towels, they can scratch the surface and leave fluff on the screen.
Clean the grease
Now it is time to clean the dirt grease from the computer monitor. You can use water for this. It is better to rely on as little cleaning products as possible. It is recommended to use distilled water instead of tap water. Tap water may have small mineral particles that can damage your screen. Just spray a small amount on the screen surface with a spray bottle and wipe in a circular motion.
If the grease stains don’t budge with the distilled water, you can mix some screen cleaning fluid with distilled water as a screen cleaner. Some experts recommend diluting isopropyl alcohol with distilled water for cleaning. Unlike harsh chemicals, diluted isopropyl alcohol is mild and won’t cause damage to the surface. Just spray the cleaning solution and wipe with a cleaning cloth in circular motions until the stains disappear.
Dry clean the monitor and turn it on.
Now use a soft lint-free cloth to dry the monitor. Use a dry cloth to gently dry the monitor and wipe in broad strokes. If you let it air dry, the water droplets may cause stains on the screen. Be careful when turning on the computer. Do not turn it on while it is damp.
Your gaming monitor is now all clean and good to go.
